King Single

Same length as a queen. Built for the person, not just the size.

The king single measures 107cm x 203cm — the same length as a queen, but in a single-sleeper width that fits comfortably into a smaller bedroom. It's Australia's most popular size for teenagers, taller singles, and guest rooms where you want adult-length comfort without the footprint of a double.

The problem with most king single mattresses

Most brands use the same spring tension in every king single they sell. That means a 45kg twelve-year-old and an 85kg seventeen-year-old get the exact same support. One sinks too deep, the other sleeps on a board. It's a problem — especially for a size that's meant to last through the teenage years.

How ours are different

Every Ausbeds king single uses honeycomb pocket springs matched to the sleeper's bodyweight, with a firmness level you can adjust at home. As your teenager grows, you swap the spring or comfort layer to match their new weight — no need to replace the mattress. It's the same modular system we use across all our sizes, handmade in our Marrickville workshop.
