Who is this mattress for?
How to choose the right bed size
Room size
The biggest mattress isn't always the best choice. Measure your bedroom and ensure you'll have at least 60cm of space on each side for comfortable access.
Your height
Standard singles and doubles are 188cm long. If you're taller than 175cm, consider a King Single, Queen, or King – all 203cm long – for extra legroom.
Who's sleeping
Solo sleepers have the most flexibility. Couples should choose at least a Queen for comfortable shared sleeping. Families who co-sleep often prefer a King.
Sleeping style
Side sleepers and restless sleepers need more room to move. If you toss and turn, go one size up from what you think you need.
Future needs
Moving in with a partner? Planning a family? Think 2–3 years ahead. Ausbeds mattresses come with a 15-year warranty – it's a long-term investment.
Budget & bedding
Larger mattresses cost more, and so do sheets, protectors, and duvets. Factor in the total cost of bedding when choosing your size.
Sheets, doorways & delivery
Fitted sheets
All Ausbeds mattresses are 31cm tall. Use fitted sheets with 35–40cm pocket depth. Stretch jersey knit fitted sheets work best as they flex naturally with the mattress.
Doorway access
Most doorways are 80cm wide. Our mattresses are 31cm thick, so they fit through standard doorways when carried on their side. King is the tightest fit but still works in most homes.
Pickup vehicles
Double fits in a van. Queen requires a large van or ute. King needs a large van or ute with a tray at least 183cm × 203cm internally.
