7-month trial period
We want you to love your new mattress. That's why we offer a 7-month comfort trial, giving you time to adjust to your new sleep surface and ensure it's right for you.
How it works
- Sleep on your new mattress for up to 7 months from the date of delivery.
- If you're not completely comfortable, you can request a component swap up to 2 times free of charge.
- Each additional component swap is charged at $50.
- Customer pays delivery costs for component swaps.
- If, after requesting component swaps, you're still not satisfied, contact us to discuss your options, including a return and refund. A $90 processing fee and a collection cost applies to comfort-related returns.
- The 7-month trial applies to mattresses purchased directly from Ausbeds and is designed to help you find your perfect comfort level through our modular system.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
The 7-month comfort trial is a benefit we offer in addition to your statutory rights. Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you have consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, including the right to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product has a major failure or is not of acceptable quality.
Comfort returns vs. defect returns: The $90 processing fee and return shipping cost described above apply only to comfort-related returns under our trial — where the mattress is functioning correctly but you've decided it's not right for you. If your mattress has a manufacturing defect or fault, your rights under the ACL apply and no processing fee or return shipping cost will be charged for a valid warranty or consumer guarantee claim.

Return and refund process
If, after working with us through the trial period, you find the mattress is still not right for you, you may request a return for a refund within your active trial period.

Return shipping: Please note that you will be liable for any return shipping charges and a $90 processing fee.
Refunds
After we receive your returned mattress and inspect its condition, we will process your refund. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow at least 14 days from our receipt of your item for your return to be processed.
