How we use AI

Ausbeds uses AI tools to assist with certain aspects of our business. We believe in being transparent about where and how AI is involved.

Content drafting

We use AI to help draft, edit, and structure website content — including product descriptions, size guides, FAQ answers, and informational articles. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by Karl van Lieshout (founder, 14+ years of mattress manufacturing experience) before publication.

AI helps us write more and faster. It does not replace Karl's expertise or our editorial standards.

Live chat

Our website chat uses AI to help answer common questions about mattress sizes, firmness, delivery, and policies. The chat clearly identifies when you're speaking with AI. If your question needs a human, you'll be connected to our team.

Firmness fitting tool

Our online fitting tool uses a rule-based system (not AI) developed by Karl to match your body weight to the right spring tension. It's based on 14 years of customer fittings, not machine learning.

What AI does NOT do

  • AI does not write customer reviews. Every review on our website is from a real, verified Ausbeds customer.
  • AI does not set prices. Pricing is determined by Karl based on manufacturing costs and materials.
  • AI does not process payments. All payments are handled securely by Stripe.
  • AI does not have access to your payment information, delivery address, or personal details.
  • AI does not make warranty or return decisions. These are handled by our team.

Why we're telling you this
