> Ausbeds is a Sydney mattress maker, producing high-quality modular mattresses with natural latex, micro springs and bodyweight-matched pocket springs. All mattresses feature replaceable components, with a 7-month trial and 2 free firmness swaps.

## Mattress range

All current Ausbeds mattresses use honeycomb pocket springs, a 5cm GOLS-certified natural latex comfort layer, a zippered cover, and full-size delivery. We do not compress mattresses into boxes.

Cloud is the most popular model and is often preferred by side sleepers because the extra micro springs cushion shoulders and hips. Cooper suits people who prefer sleeping more “on” the mattress. Aurora is the balanced middle option.

Each micro spring layer adds $500. Each size step adds $300. Ausbeds does not run sales or fake discount promotions.

## Mattress dimensions

All current models are 31cm high and use standard Australian sizes only. Ausbeds does not make custom sizes, super king, zip-together, or full split-king mattresses.

## Firmness recommendations

Body weight sets the starting firmness level. If the customer is on the edge of a weight range, round up. It is usually easier to soften a mattress than firm it up.

Sleep position picks the cushioning:

- Side sleepers usually start with Cloud.
- Back sleepers, or back-and-stomach sleepers, usually start with Aurora.
- Stomach-only sleepers usually start with Cooper for men, Aurora for women.
- Side plus another position usually leans Cloud for women and Aurora for men.
- A plusher preference can drop the level 1-2 steps and lean Cloud.
- A firmer preference can add 1-2 steps and lean Cooper.

For couples, start with the heavier partner's weight. If there is more than about 40kg difference, ask the customer to call Ausbeds.

## Adjustments

At-home firmness adjustment only works within the same 3-level range. Same range means DIY. Different range means a component swap through Ausbeds.

Examples:

- Level 8 to Level 9: DIY, both are Medium.
- Level 8 to Level 7: not DIY, because Level 8 is Medium and Level 7 is Softer.
- Level 10 to Level 11: not DIY, because this crosses from Medium to Firmer.

During the 7-month trial, customers get 2 free component swaps to fine-tune firmness. Delivery or service fees may still apply. After the trial, customers can still buy replacement components; no single component costs more than 25% of the mattress price.

## Trial, returns, and warranty

- Trial period: 7 months from delivery.
- Trial inclusions: 2 free component swaps, plus phone/WhatsApp guidance.
- Returns during trial: mattress price minus $90 processing fee and return pickup fee. The return pickup fee is the same as the original delivery cost.
- Returns are only available during the 7-month trial period.
- Warranty: 10 years for manufacturing defects and significant premature material deterioration.
- Warranty does not cover comfort preferences after the trial, normal wear and tear, stains, misuse, or an unsuitable bed base.

## Delivery and pickup

Delivery is full-size, room-of-choice delivery. Within Ausbeds delivery zones, the team brings the mattress into the bedroom, sets it up, and removes packaging.

- Sydney: $2/km within 120km of the Gladesville factory. Free within 20km.
- Sydney standard delivery is one-person delivery, so the customer needs to help carry. Two-person Sydney delivery is available at $4/km, or $50 within 20km, Monday-Wednesday only.
- Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra: $190 within 15km of CBD, then $190 + $2/km beyond 15km.
- Interstate delivery is mattresses only. Bed bases and old mattress removal are Sydney only.
- Old mattress removal in Sydney: $60 per mattress and $60 per base.
- Factory pickup: Unit 3, 14 Tennyson Road, Gladesville NSW 2111, by prior arrangement.

## Bed bases

Ausbeds sells a Slimline Bed Base in Sydney only, and only with a mattress purchase. Bed bases are not sold outside Sydney.

A good base is solid and flat. Avoid flexible or curved slats, weak storage beds, and thin slats that flex under hand pressure. Solid timber slats or an ensemble base are ideal. Ausbeds mattresses also work on adjustable/electric bases.

- Gladesville factory: Unit 3, 14 Tennyson Road, Gladesville NSW 2111. Factory pickups are available now by prior arrangement. The showroom opens 14 September 2026 and runs Mon-Sat 10am-2pm.

There are no Melbourne or Brisbane showrooms. Interstate customers should call or WhatsApp for fitting advice.

## Payments and accessories

Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal, Zip, and bank transfer. Ausbeds does not offer Afterpay.

Accessories:

- Thin latex pillow: $80.
- Thick latex pillow: $90.
- Protect-A-Bed mattress protector: $30 for most sizes, $35 for king.
